Structure
The case itself is constructed from the finest, 4mm thick aluminium to ensure that body of the unit is unsurpassed in quality and appearance.
The Nexus Psile is of a patented internal construction. Quite possibly the easiest PC to assemble, installation of internal components is facilitated by the easily removable inner structure.
Constructed entirely of aluminium, the inner structure has two-fold function. It doubles as a mounting base and also acts as a heat sink for the hard drive and peripheral electronics.
Hard drive
The 3.5" hard disk drive is mounted on the bottom of the inner structure. The transfer of heat from the sides of the hard drive to the inner structure is facilitated by thermal conductivity pads so that the base dissipates the heat generated by the hard drive and thus acts as a heat sink.
Cooling
The unit has been designed to function as a single-fan system for optimal silence.
Motherboards with a passive cooler option for their processor are particularly suited to the single-fan configuration. An example is the Intel Pentium/Celeron M processors used in conjunction with the Nexus PSM-5000 passive copper cooler. In this configuration, the fan is positioned directly behind the passive CPU cooler so that air is blown through the heatsink and out of the case.
The internal fan is repositionable to ensure an optimal location can be selected to suit the choice of motherboard.
The layout of the desired motherboard should be checked to ensure that the surface mount components of the motherboard do not foul the desired fan position.
Below you will find a number of illustrations (top view) to indicate what CPU-fan positioning combination is acceptable.
The rear face of the unit features a distinct ventilation hole cut-out for airflow.
Layouts vary between manufacturers and models and irrespective of the fan position selected the CPU temperature should always remain within the specifications provided by the CPU manufacturer
Multi-drive 
Your psile is equipped (in most regions) with the Panasonic UJ-845 DVD burner. This is an advanced DVD burner that can be used with all the most popular DVD media formats including, DVD-RAM, dual layer DVD, DVD+R/RW, and DVD-R/RW. CD-R/RW media is also supported.
Panasonic slimline slot load drives are some of the most popular and highest quality slimline slot load drives available. As the industries most advanced DVD burner, the Panasonic UJ-845 is a popular selection when safe, fast DVD backup is required to store computer data and DVD movies.
